My name is Kosi, a DC-area technology swiss army knife specializing in Front-End development with a passion for all things new and open-source.
I create intuitive and engaging User Experiences with rich visual designs and excellent usability. Take a look at some of my most recent work.
What I will not do is call myself a "Ninja" of anything! I will, however, say that I am a versatile Developer, Designer, UX professional and Consultant that generally offers expertise to clients, projects or positions in any (or all) of the aforementioned areas(see my expansion of this here).
In a nutshell, I am an experienced IT Consultant, Web Developer and Entrepreneur with over twenty years of experience across various specialities ranging from Graphic Design and Web Development to Network Infrastructure and Information Architecture. I have been fortunate enough to have worked with some pretty awesome companies such as MMG, Booz Allen Hamilton, Serco-North America, General Dynamics, Aon and Sogeti.
I also do a fair amount of freelance work during my free time (which no longer exists) and currently enjoy offering Freelance Web Strategy Consulting through BlueIgnition, my Web Strategy Consulting business.
When not in front of a computer, I enjoy biking, swimming, basketball and DJing. Yes, I can (somewhat) mix things up on the turntables!
Many people usually are stumped as to how to classify me. Am I a Back-end Developer, Front-end Developer, Designer, Network Infrastructure, UX guy or Business Analyst? "How do you see yourself?," They ask.
"As a mixture of all the above!" I respond. In my opinion, the work I do cannot be measured by titles or pixels but by the depth of experience, knowledge and creativity I apply to each and every project that I work on.
